Childlike Faith

Give me a childlike faith,
So I can believe.
A childlike heart,
So I can receive.
Give me a childlike faith,
So that if I never see Your face,
I can still believe.

Melt away this heart,
This angry heart of stone.
And as I shake my fist,
Break each and every bone.

Remove this veil of unbelief,
That is covering my eyes.
Let me know you,
For the very . . . first time.

Give me a childlike faith,
So I can believe.
A childlike heart,
So I can receive.

Give me a childlike faith,
So that if I never see Your face,
I can still believe.

Break my prideful heart,
That says I have no choice,
So when You call my name,
I will know Your voice!

Remove the chains of unbelief,
That enslave my mind!
Let me doubt You,
For the very last time,

How I long to call You Father,
To embrace the love You offer.
How I long to feel Your Spirit,
Increase my faith so that I,
Can believe it, I can believe it . . .

Give me a childlike faith,
So I can believe.
A childlike heart,
So I can receive.

Give me a childlike faith,
So that if I never see Your face,
I can still believe.
How I long to believe.
